Against the Civil Rights Movement
Many people were against the Civil Rights Movement. Why? Because they believed that equality isn't right for everyone. Those people were for segregation, they believed African Americans are like them. They should not sit next to us on buses, not use the same rest rooms, or drink from the same fountains. People believed they were never equal to them, because of slavery, and never will be, because of their color of their skin. They are different and they should accept it. White people believed that black people are less then them, they believed that having different schools different restaurants and different environments wasn't a big deal. They didn't think that they should change those things because that is the way America works.
