Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King was an important figure/leader in the Civil Rights Movement. He was African Americans hero; he organized non aggressive protests, and meant no harm while trying to get inside America's hearts. He believed that violence is not a solution; he was in favor of walking rallies, protests (non violent) and sit ins. He wanted to show America that African Americans wanted to simply be treated equally. He never gave up on trying to end segregation laws(that prevented blacks from entering restaurants, hotels, public schools and etc.). He believed that one day he could make people realize that “all men are created equal”. Martin Luther King Jr. was in many events throughout the Civil Rights Movement, Montgomery bus boycott, Desegregation drive in Birmingham, March on Washington (which was his speech “I have a Dream”), and Selma to Montgomery march.
